Carol’s goal is to help others understand the dynamics of backyard plants, wildcrafted trees, medicine herbs, twigs, roots, and cooking herbs that can assist healing. As an intuitive teacher of various topics such as cooking, making medicine, making skin care with Hemp, making herbal medicines, foraging, skin care with botanical backyard herbs, fermenting, canning, freeze-drying, and dehydration 3 -hour classes are a play-shop with lots of interaction and instructions in a non-threatening atmosphere. Carol’s Homestead's mission is to help others identify plants and assist those who want plants in their backyard or woods. Carol is a forest farmer and a United Plant Savers of America member whose mission is to help protect at-risk plants like ginseng, golden seal, and over-harvested plants. As groups or individuals, come to visit the Botanical Sanctuary a higher consciousness is fostered to become good Earth plant stewards. They learn to plant roots, bulbs, trees, berries, and seeds. The mission unfolds daily in this sacred protective woodland medicine space. Carol offers a Forest to Table event twice a year spring and fall a celebration of the ancestors of the land which were Cherokee Indians. Carol is an Indigenous Cherokee, Blackfoot Apache Indian, and African American. Let's celebrate all of our ancestors.
